the zoots are here! after months of deliberation, costing and measuring, the band suits were finally delivered by parcelforce [with a £225 surcharge] - too late for the christmas extravaganza, but in time for the coming season. twelve very impressive zoot suits, six in red and six in yellow will bear testimony that as well as sounding good, blowjangles will now be looking good. [there's nowt like blowing your own trumpet.]

 
 

let's try a busk-january 17th the first outing of the new year took us to blackburn town centre for a bit of a busk. the first set found us in our most favoured position outside debenhams and all went well for twenty minutes until we were moved on by three security guards, who reacted to a claim by the debenhams manager that his staff couldn't here their customers above the din - some cheek! the grapes and a pint followed [are we that predictable?] suitably refreshed, we assembled outside the post office in yet another attempt to relieve the blackburn public of their hard earned cash. that was, until our three security guard friends moved us on to church st. on church street we held court to the assembled goths and moshers who thought we were pretty cool - eat yer heart out linkin park. all in all, a pretty normal day in the life of blowjangles.
